......I guess I will start off by saying my real name is Andrew Wood (but as you may have noticed that I go by DaRkEnDsKyZ here in the cyber-world)! I was Born in Pontiac, MI. in March of 1980. I was the third of 4 sons to my parents, and I have always naturally had an interest in artwork and creating things! Maybe it has to do with the fact that I was somewhat of a middle child, and was able to watch things on either end of the spectrum...both, things my older brothers had already done as well as things my younger brother was going to do. Plus my Grandfather, father, a couple of my uncles as well as my oldest brother were all artistic in different aspects, as well in some of the same!

......My Grandfather started the trend as far as I can tell, by working (fittingly) with wood, making furniture and cabinets and such, as well as trying to run a farm. He and my grandmother had 10 kids, so that helped him be able to do both. I remember being fairly young, probably around 2 or so, where my father would sit down and color in some old coloring books... and as wierd as it may sound, the thing I remember most about it, was the way he would make the colors very dark around the edge of whatever it was we would color and slowly lighten it up to shade it. I consider that my first lesson in art, even tho I'm sure he wasn't striving to teach me how to become a professional artist, we were just coloring and I happened to notice him doing this and I thought it was cool how colors could change like that without changing the color itself. There is a wierd little story I have told people on different occasions, that most people find at the least a bit odd and unusual. It starts out by pointing out that my father was born 100 years to the day after Vincent Van Gogh, who is and always has been my favorite artist (since long before I put all these facts together)! Another cool little bit about this, (at least I think) pertains to 2 birthmarks I have (which are fading very slowly as I age), a small oval shape mark on the front left side of my stomach and on my back, a large almost ovoid birthmark near my spine, with somewhat jagged edges. I know some of you reading this may be saying "...O.K....? What has that got to do with anything?"... But only if you don't know that Van Gogh committed suicide... and yes it was by shooting himself in the stomach! But it doesn't end there.. I have had unexplained stomach pains for almost as long as I can remember, doctors had never figured them out, so I just deal with it now, and don't visit them anymore. At first they thought I may have had Appendicitis, due to the fact that my mother had this problem when she was 16, but she didn't come in with just one appendix as most people do, ...she had a double appendix, which ruptured and poisoned her quite badly. But after they ran their tests on me, they said they saw nothing, so I just called it quits! No more doctors for this kid! As far as I can remember (at least for now) there is only one more piece to this strange story that I can tell ya, and that is that my Goatee and beard have a lot of the color red in them,... but not my hair and noone else in my family is a red-head, even tho I do have a bit of Irish ancestory in my family.
